What’s the best way to know if your employees are engaged?

How is the best way for your boss to know whether or not you enjoy coming to work everyday?

What about asking? It seems to me that the key to engagement is listening. It’s also the key to building relationships.

What kinds of things could your employees tell you that would be interesting and might give you insight into how the company could be more productive and your employees happier?

People are hungry to be heard. Even if you don’t take their advice, just knowing you heard them and you’re giving it thought will go a long way.
